All Participants should take a quick read of these free articles from the CrossFit Journal:
The CrossFit Fairness Doctrine
2009 South East Regional Qualifier Event Template
Johnny Mac,
the second link is misleading... it says "2009 South East Regional Qualifier Event Template", but it's actually a link to the October 2002 issue of the Journal ... "What is Fitness"
What gives?

Jose,
The link is correct; among other things our event will encompass all three CrossFit standards:
#1 The 10 recognized physical skills; meaning you will be tasked to demonstrate your due diligence in both training and practice of all elements of fitness.
#2 Solid performance in any and every task imaginable; meaning you will be asked to perform movements you may not be familiar with under competitive duress.
#4 The three metabolic pathways or engines; meaning you will compete in events requiring near maximal output for very short duration thru moderate sustainable outputs for longer durations.
The bottom line is to have no weakness on event day and you will be fine.

Excellent!
I'm glad to hear that the qualifier will encompass all the elements of fitness. It's also good to hear that all 3 metabolic pathways will be tested. All of the events at last years games were completely in the 3 to 5 minute time domain.
